Winnebago Tribe raises gambling age at casino

The Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska is raising the legal gambling age at its casino in Iowa back to 21.

The tribe had lowered the age to 18 in 1999 in a move to compete with riverboat casinos in Iowa. But the state said a recent change in state law required the tribe to raise the age or face violation of its compact.

The casino is located on trust land in Iowa.
