Connecticut's two federally recognized tribes are spreading their influence in the gaming industry throughout the country.
The Mohegan Tribe has partnered with tribes in Arizona, Washington and Wisconsin to open casinos there. The tribe also bought a major Pennsylvania racetrack with the hopes of adding slot machines to it.
The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation has formed a development company to pursue out-of-state ventures. The tribe is also considering a Pennsylvania slots facility.
