The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut reported a slight drop in casino earnings and an increase in operating expenses during the second quarter of 2005.
The tribe's core earnings were $80.4 million, a drop of 7.2 percent from the same quarter last year.
Casino executives blamed the drop on a stormy winter and increased spending on advertising and promotions, The New London Day reported
The tribe's table games, though, saw a 4.8 percent increase to $81 million. The tribe's recent acquisition of a racetrack in Pennsylvania brought in $5.6 million.
