Some California tribes slow to submit to reviews

printer friendly
Most of California's 54 gaming tribes have obtained state approval for casino employees who hold key positions but some have been slow to comply or haven't submitted information at all, Copley News Service reports.

More than 2,600 tribal casino employees have been approved so far. But a third of the tribes have submitted only a few employees for review. Five more haven't complied with the requirement at all.

The state has rejected 13 employees deemed unsuitable for casino employment and upwards of 230 have been withdrawn because they probably wouldn't have been approved, Copley News Service said.
