Indian gaming will be high on the agenda for the 3rd annual Northwest gaming law summit on December 1-2 in Seattle, Washington.

Participants in the conference will discuss revenue-sharing, off-reservation gaming, proposed amendments to the Johnson Act and the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act and other issues affecting gaming in the Pacific Northwest.

“Although Northwest Indian tribes have only been engaged in the gaming industry 17 years, Indian gaming has made a most significant and positive impact on the tribes' quest for self-reliance," said Ron Allen, the chairman of the Washington Indian Gaming Association and chairman of the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe. "Today, and seemingly every day, we are faced with new political and legal challenges to maintaining this economic opportunity for the benefit of our communities."
