The Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation of Arizona is opening a resort hotel at its casino on Wednesday.
The 250-room hotel is a Radisson property. It is the first hotel on the reservation and is part of the tribe's diversification strategy. The tribe recently purchased two hotels in Arizona.
Other tribes in Arizona have adopted similar strategies and hope to turn their reservations into tourist destinations.
