BIA to take comments on Cowlitz Tribe's casino

The Bureau of Indian Affairs is holding two public hearings on the Cowlitz Tribe's proposed casino in Clark County, Washington.

The hearings takes place tonight and tomorrow night. The meetings are expected to draw big crowds, both in support and opposition to the casino.

The tribe was recognized by the BIA in 2000 and is seeking approval to acquire 152 acres for an initial reservation. Part of the land will be used for a casino.
