Tracking casino proposals across Indian Country.
The Bureau of Indian Affairs is ordering additional study of casino sites sought by the Warm Springs Tribes of Oregon.

The tribes want to build an off-reservation casino. But the BIA says the environmental impact study must look at an on-reservation location.

The tribes have the support of the governor for the off-reservation casino. Other tribes are opposed to the deal, however, fearing it will hurt their gaming enterprises.
