Members of the Los Coyotes Band of Cahuilla and Cupeno Indians have two more days to see action on their stalled gaming compact.

Tribal members have been fasting at the state Capitol for more than a week. They had meetings with two key lawmakers but Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez has not agreed to a meeting despite requests by Chairwoman Catherine Siva Saubel, who joined the fasters as they sat outside the speaker's office.

The Los Coyotes Band and the Big Lagoon Rancheria teamed up to build side-by-side casinos in Barstow, located halfway between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The casino site is right off a major interstate.

Other tribes fought the deal. They say the Los Coyotes Band and the Big Lagoon Rancheria have no ties to Barstow.
