Opponents of Eastern Shawnee casino meet in Ohio

Opponents of the Eastern Shawnee Tribe's proposed casino met in Canal Fulton, Ohio, on Sunday.

Resident Paul Bagocius organized the meeting. He has emerged as the most prominent critic of the proposed casino.

Bagocius and other critics say the casino will lead to more crime, traffic and addiction. They are trying to stop the city from negotiating a municipal services agreement with the tribe.

The tribe, based in Oklahoma, filed a land claim in Ohio and says it will settle for gaming rights.
