The Blackfeet Nation of Montana says its new casino is a huge success
The Glacier Peaks Casino debuted last month with Flying Elvises and showgirls. The 30,000-square-foot facility features Class II machines, table games and a restaurant.
Although the reservation is remote, the casino itself is in a prime location. It's near the eastern border of Glacier National Park and within driving distance from Calgary, Alberta in Canada.
That means a built-in customer base of millions. Already, the casinos is catering to the huge Asian population in Calgary.
The opening success prompted the tribe to commission an expansion study. A hotel, a convention facility/auditorium and an RV park are being considered.
