Two plead guilty for $1.5M Soboba casino heist


Two people have pleaded guilty in connection with the theft of $1.58 million from the casino owned by the Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians.

Ricky Aban, 19, pleaded guilty to being an accessory and to receiving stolen property. He was given $200,000 to help the main casino heist suspect elude capture.

Sonya Marie Boyorquez, 23, also pleaded guilty to being an accessory. She is the girlfriend of the alleged getaway driver.

The main casino suspect, Rolando Luda Ramos, was a security technician at the Soboba Casino. He three counts each of robbery and kidnapping to commit a robbery, and one count each of using tear gas, burglary and false imprisonment.

The alleged getaway driver, 23-year-old Eric A. Magdaleno Aguilera, faces the same counts. He reportedly worked at the casino.
