Barona Band granted liquor license for casino

The California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control has approved a liquor license for the Barona Band of Mission Indians.

The tribe can sell liquor to certain customers and guests at the Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino. Alcohol sales will not be allowed on the main casino floor.

The license is temporary but becomes permanent on January 22, 2008, unless there is an appeal. San Diego County previously filed a lawsuit over a temporary license that was issued to the tribe in 2004.
