The United Food & Commercial Workers International Union plans to organize at the casino owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut.
The union seeks to represent about 1,250 food and beverage workers at the Foxwoods Resort Casino.
It would be the fourth to organize among casino employees.
The National Labor Relations Board has repeatedly rejected the tribe's assertions that federal labor law does not apply at the casino. In 2004, the board overturned 30 years of precedent and said it would assert jurisdiction at tribal enterprises on a case-by-case basis.
