Muscogee Nation plans $160M casino resort

The Muscogee Nation of Oklahoma announced plans for a $160 million casino resort, to be built in three phases. The first phase of the River Spirit Casino in Tulsa will feature a 300,000 square-foot gaming floor. Chief A.D. Ellis said that makes the facility one of the largest in the state. The second phase will bring a hotel, convention center and another parking garage. Phase three calls for entertainment and family options. The first phase is set to open in February 2009. The tribe will close Creek Nation Casino, the existing property at the gaming site, at that time. Get the Story:
