The Quapaw Tribe of Oklahoma will host a grand opening for its casino hotel on November 22.
The 22-story hotel at the Downstream Casino Resort features 222 rooms, a retail shop and meeting rooms. A limited portion of the facility opened to guests over the weekend.
"The rooms are just unbelievably beautiful," Chairman John Berrey told The Joplin Globe. Historical photos of the Quapaw people hang in the rooms.
The resort is located in three states: Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri. The gaming portion is located on the Oklahoma side.
