Seneca Nation gaming official resigns amid probe

A gaming official with the Seneca Nation of New York resigned before he could be fired by the tribal council.

Bergal Mitchell III, the former vice chairman of the Seneca Gaming Corporation, has been linked to a federal probe of the tribe's $2.1 million purchase of a property that is being turned into a golf course. The FBI is apparently looking into allegations of money-skimming.

Mitchell has denied any wrongdoing.
