Thousands seek Nottawaseppi Huron casino jobs

The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi Indians began accepting applications for 1,500 jobs at its new casino in Michigan last week and the response has been overwhelming.

Over 15,000 people are seeking employment at the FireKeepers Casino, which opens this summer. The tribe expects at least 5,000 more applications.

The tribe began work on the facility after surviving a lengthy court battle over its land-into-trust application.
