The Blue Lake Rancheria of California will open a new hotel at the Blue Lake Casino in June.
The tribe reduced the size of the project due to the economy. The 102-room hotel was built to showcase "green" technologies.
”Responsible stewardship of our natural resources is an important part of who we are as Native Americans, and we will always incorporate environmentally friendly practices,” Vice Chairwoman Arla Ramsey said in a press release quoted by The Eureka Times-Standard.
