Narragansett complaint about 'casino' unresolved

A leader of the Narragansett Tribeof Rhode Island is still waiting for an answer to his complaint about a non-Indian racetrack.

Council member Randy Noka says the Twin River facility is illegally marketing itself as a "gambling casino." The state constitution does not currently allow casino gambling.

Noka filed his complaint three months ago but state officials say they are still trying to address it. Attorney General Patrick C. Lynch refused to take a position on the issue so he referred it to the Department of Revenue, which oversees the state Lottery.
