Senate confirmation hearing for Tracie Stevens to head NIGC


Note: The hearing takes place May 26.

The Senate Indian Affairs Committee will hold a confirmation hearing on May 26 for Tracie Stevens as chair of the National Indian Gaming Commission.

Stevens is a member of the Tulalip Tribes of Washington. If confirmed by the Senate, she will be the first woman to run the agency that regulates the $27 billion Indian gaming industry.

The hearing takes place at 10am in Room 628 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building.
