Mississippi Choctaws set to hire over 300 people at new casino

The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians plan to hire more than 300 people to work at the tribe's new gaming facility.

The Bok Homa Casino will open in late December. The $18 million, 27,000-square-foot facility exclusively features Class II machines.

"Construction is ahead of schedule," spokesperson Warren Strain told WDAM-TV.

The new casino will be located near Sandersville. The site is about 80 miles from main tribal headquarters in Philadelphia, where the tribe operates two casinos.

The land is considered part of the reservation although it's not contiguous to the main reservation.
