The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe of
New York expects to break ground on a $3 million casino expansion later this month.
The tribe is adding 37 rooms to the hotel at the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino, bringing the total to 101 rooms. Most areas of the facility are also receiving renovations.
Separately, tribal members approved a $75 million referendum to move the Mohawk Bingo
Palace to the site of the Akwesasne Casino.
