The Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe of South Dakota could see approval of its new Class III gaming compact within a month.
The compact authorizes up to 500 slot machines at the Royal River Casino.
That's double the number in the current agreement.
The South Dakota Commission on
Gaming held a hearing on the compact on Friday but there was no opposition.
Gov. Dennis Daugaard (R) will now send it to the Bureau of Indian Affairs for review.
