Communities receive over $500K in Gun Lake gaming revenues


Schools and local governments in Michigan received their share of gaming revenues from the Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Potawatomi Indians, also known as the Gun Lake Tribe.

The Wayland Union Schools received $194,628.31, the largest share. Wayland Township received $166,662.64 and Allegan County received $79,506.93.

The tribe distributed a total of $514,871 from the first two months of operation of the Gun Lake Casino. That represents 2 percent of electronic gaming revenues.

Additionally, the tribe shared $2.1 million with the state, representing 8 percent of electronic gaming revenues.
