Mississippi Choctaw chief moving casino in new direction

The new leader of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians says she is moving the tribe's casino resort in a "new direction."

That means a new president and chief executive officer of Pearl River Resort. Bryce A. Warren, a 30-year veteran of the gaming industry, has been hired to run the facility by Chief Phyliss J. Anderson, who took office earlier this month.

"We are moving the resort in a new direction and I thank General Harvey for his service," Anderson said in a press release, referring to former CEO Paul A. Harvey.

Warren was serving as general manager of the Bok Homa Casino, the tribe's smaller casino.
