Mississippi Choctaws sign $78M casino debt refinancing plan

The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians has reached a $78 million casino debt refinancing plan.

Chief Phyllis Anderson said the deal brings stability to the tribe. Instead of owing 55 creditors, the tribe only owes eight regional banks.

"We're in the right direction to taking our tribe to find financial stability," Anderson told WTOK.

The tribe reportedly owed $200 million in gaming debt.
