The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut hosted a grand opening for a gas station and convenience store that will serve casino patrons.

The Pequot Outpost features a 28-bay gas station and a 5,000-square-foot building with a convenience store and a Burger King. The facility employs 67 people, about a quarter of whom are tribal members.

The gas station offers lower prices than others in the area. Tribal members and tribal employees receive a discount while casino patrons can redeem rewards points.
