The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi in Michigan opened the doors to a new hotel at its casino.

The hotel at the FireKeepers Casino features 242 rooms, an indoor pool, an exercise facility and a business center. There's also a smoke-free gaming area, a new restaurant and a 17,500-square-foot events center that can be used for concerts, weddings and other events.

“Our future burns bright,” said Chairman Homer A. Mandoka, The Michigan Business Review reported. “This journey started with a spark. And the opening of our resort-style hotel is a significant moment for our tribal elders and our tribal members.”

The tribe hired about 320 people to staff the expansion.
