Ho-Chunk Nation buys land near off-reservation gaming site

The Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin has added more acreage to its off-reservation gaming site.

The tribe is paying $1.87 million for 41.5 acres owned by the city of Beloit. That's in addition to the 32 acres already set aside for the proposed casino.

The Bureau of Indian Affairs is is preparing an environmental impact statement on the project.
