A national anti-Indian group is hosting a meeting this Saturday in Taunton, Massachusetts, where the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe plans to build a casino.

Citizens for Equal Rights Alliance wants to educate the city about the impacts of gaming. The group has fought tribes on land-into-trust, taxation, sovereignty and other issues.

“We will be talking about various court case decisions and how they will affect the people of Taunton, and the idea of what may or may not happen because of those court cases,” Judy Bachmann, who will be presenting at the event, told The Taunton Daily Gazette. “We will talk about which acts of federal government affect Taunton, and the decision to bring a casino there in the near future.”
