Supervisors in Butte County, California, voted 3-2 to oppose the Enterprise Rancheria off-reservation casino.

The county approved a resolution said the new casino will hurt existing gaming facilities operated by the Tyme-Maidu Berry Creek Rancheria and the Concow-Maidu Mooretown Rancheria. The casinos are located in Butte County -- the Enterprise Rancheria casino would be in Yuba County.

"The negative impacts to both tribes and Butte County are obvious," Guy Taylor, the director of the environmental protection office for the Concow Maidu, said at a public meeting, The Chico Enterprise-Record reported.

The Enterprise Rancheria casino is being litigated.
