The Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians will face a public meeting next month on plans for a second casino.

The tribe wants to build a $26 million facility with 550 slot machines on trust land near Mackinaw City. The Class III gaming compact requires local approval so the village has scheduled a hearing on April 11 to solicit input.

The tribe already operates the Odawa Casino Resort.
