The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut reported declines in revenues and profit at its gaming enterprise.

Net revenue or the second quarter fell 7.3 percent, compared to the same quarter in 2012. Gaming revenue fell 7.8 percent while profit was down 6.8 percent.

Despite the decline, executives said the results were encouraging. A blizzard in February put a damper on business.

"We are extremely pleased with the results for the quarter,” Mitchell Etess, the Chief Executive Officer of the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, said in a press release.

The tribe operates Mohegan Sun, an Indian gaming facility on its reservation, and Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, a facility that operates under state law in Pennsylvania.
