Tribes in California continue to work on Internet gaming proposals and a new one could be released this week, The Riverside Press-Enterprise reports.

A coalition that includes the Pechanga Band of Luiseño Indians, the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, and the California Tribal Business Alliance have circulated a draft of their proposal. The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians is also developing a bill.

"It is not unusual for tribal leaders to work together on issues of great importance — and let us be clear, this is an issue of great importance to us,” Leslie Loche, the chairwoman of the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians, a member of CTBA, said in a statement to the Press-Enterprise.
