Six people have been indicted for stealing from a casino owned by the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians of Michigan.

Federal authorities say Joe Michael Koster used a "light wand" to trick video poker machines into paying him more than he was owed. Five others acted as lookouts at the Kewadin Casino Hotel & Resort in Sault Ste. Marie, MLive reported.

The scheme ran from July 2009 through June 2011. The dollar amount of the theft wasn't stated but on one weekend, Koster allegedly stole nearly $10,000.
