The state of Florida blocked a controversial Mixed Martial Arts fight between two men with disabilities, WINK News reports.

Garrett Holeve was set to fight David Steffan at a casino owned by the Seminole Tribe on Saturday. But minutes before the match, the state gave the promoter a cease and desist letter.

"He cried. It genuinely upset him," says Garrett's father, Mitch Holeve, told WINK News.

The fight was controversial because Garrett Holeve, 23, has Down syndrome. Seffan, 28, has cerebral palsy.
