Twenty-Nine Palms Band set to break ground on new casino

The Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians in California is about to break ground on its second casino, The Desert Trail reports.

The 30,000 square-foot Tortoise Rock Casino will feature 500 slot machines, seven table games, a deli and a bar. It's expected to open in the fall.

The tribe operates the Spotlight 29 Casino on a different portion of its land base.
