The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut is signed agreements with two unions for its proposed commercial casino in Massachusetts.

The tribe will work with the Metropolitan Boston Building Trades Council and the New England Regional Council of Carpenters to build the $1.3 billion Suffolk Downs project in the town of Revere. The tribe is also working on on neutrality agreements to ensure that employees at the casino can join unions.

The project goes to a referendum in Revere on February 25. The tribe is competing for the eastern Massachusetts casino license.
