The San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians has closed its casino in southern California in order for an "extreme" makeover.

The Valley View Casino will remain shuttered until January 17. The project includes an expanded buffet, new carpeting and chairs, upgraded hotel rooms and casino restrooms, among other improvements, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported.

“We’ve decided to do all of this in 11 days instead of inconveniencing (our customers) with six months or more of constant stop-and-go construction that continuously interrupts their fun,” general manager Bruce Howard said in a press release, the paper reported.

The tribe opened a $72 million hotel at the facility in November 2010.
