The California Nations Indian Gaming Association has welcomed another new member.

The United Auburn Indian Community just joined the group, which represents more than 30 tribes. The application was approved at a meeting last month.

'We are thrilled to welcome the United Auburn Indian Community into the CNIGA family," CNIGA Chairman Daniel J. Tucker said in a press release. "Having a forum for tribal leaders to discuss issues of importance is critical to the protection of tribal government gaming and tribal sovereign rights."

At the same meeting, Tucker was re-elected to a third term as chairman. He also serves as chair of the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation.

Dennis Hendricks, a council member for the Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians, was re-elected as treasurer.
