The Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana celebrated the 19th anniversary of its gaming facility over the weekend.

The festivities started on Friday as Chairman Lovelin Poncho welcomed tribal dancers and local and state dignitaries to the Coushatta Casino Resort.

“We are proud to maintain the highest standards for our guests and to provide them with the ultimate Southern hospitality,” Poncho said in a press release.

Poncho noted that the tribe is renovating the main hotel at the facility, a project that will be completed by the end of the year. The tribe debuted a $60 million expansion, which included a new hotel tower, in July 2012.
