The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut secured $50 million in financing for a new hotel at its commercial casino in Pennsylvania.

Fundamental Advisors provided the loan for the seven-story, 238-room hotel at the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs. The hotel celebrated its grand opening on January 18.

"Fundamental has been a dedicated partner for many years and this project represents a culmination of our strong ongoing relationship," Mitchell Grossinger Etess, the Chief Executive Officer of Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, said in a press release. "We look forward to exploring new projects and collaborating on future special situation opportunities with the team at Fundamental."

The Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs celebrated its 7th anniversary in November 2013.
