Man pleads guilty for robbery in Osage Nation casino parking lot

A 19-year-old Oklahoma man pleaded guilty for an armed robbery in the parking lot of a casino owned by the Osage Nation.

Dominique Amoia McDowell II pleaded guilty to a charge of Brandishing a Firearm During and in Relation to a Crime of Violence. He admitted that he robbed a Native American woman in the parking lot at the Osage Nation Casino Tulsa on January 12.

“The United States is committed to working together with our tribal law enforcement partners to hold accountable those who commit violent crimes in Indian Country. I commend the Osage Nation Police Department and Bureau of Indian Affairs for their quick response and joint investigative efforts,” U.S. Attorney Danny C. Williams Sr. said in a press release.
