The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi Indians in Michigan reopened its casino this morning after electrical crews performed some maintenance work overnight.

The work at the FireKeepers Casino came after the facility suffered a minor electrical fire and power outage last Saturday evening. The fire occurred away from the gaming floor and was quickly put out but guests were evacuated out of an abundance of caution.

To address the situation, the tribe closed the casino last night around 10pm. But everything is back up and running now.

"We are happy to report that this maintenance has been completed prior to the anticipated time of 11 a.m. and FireKeepers Casino Hotel is now open for business," the tribe said this morning.

The hotel at the casino wasn't affected by the fire, the power outage or the electrical work.
