Tribes can now submit their fees to the National Indian Gaming Commission online through the federal government's pay.gov site.

The NIGC began testing the system in December 2013. It's now open to all tribes and the agency says it will make it easier to pay fees and avoid mistakes in calculating the fees.

The Indian Gaming Regulatory Act requires tribes to pay fees to the NIGC based on their gross gaming revenues. The 2014 rates were finalized in June.

Tribal fees are used to fund the NIGC's budget. No taxpayer money is used for the agency and its activities.
