Little Pine First Nation pursues casino developments in two cities

The Little Pine First Nation of Saskatchewan is looking to develop two casinos.

The band has purchased land in Lloydminster, right on the Alberta border. Agreements are being negotiated with the city, Chief Wayne Semaganis said.

The band is also interested in Estevan. A non-binding referendum will go to voters next month.

“We’re definitely interested if they have the appetite for it,” Semaganis told The Saskaton StarPhoenix.

Lloydminster and Estevan are considered viable markets.
