The Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohican Indians of Wisconsin will be submitting site plan for its proposed casino in the Catskills region of New York. The tribe paid a $1 million non-refundable fee to apply for a commercial casino. Plans call for a $750 million facility on 330 acres in the town of Thompson. The tribe is also pursuing an off-reservation casino at the site under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act. The Bureau of Indian Affairs published a final environmental impact statement for the project in January.
