The Menominee Nation released scheduling details for its proposed off-reservation casino in Wisconsin. If Gov. Scott Walker (R) approves the $810 million casino in Kenosha, the tribe will turn an existing racetrack at the site into a temporary facility. The space will feature 1,000 slot machines, 50 table games and a food court. A year later, the tribe will open a 900,000 square-foot permanent facility. The gaming floor will include 2,700 slot machines, 100 table games and 24 poker games, plus a Hard Rock entertainment venue. “We are ready to get started,” Jeff Hook, the vice president of marketing for Seminole Gaming, told The Racine Journal Times. The Seminole Tribe of Florida owns Hard Rock. Walker has until February 19, 2015, to make a decision on the casino. If he waits until the final deadline, the casino will be up and running sometime in early 2015. Get the Story:
