Relations continue to improve between the Tohono O'odham Nation and the city of Glendale, Arizona.

The city is seeking $766,000 in gaming funds from the tribe -- the largest request in recent years, according to The Phoenix Business Journal. It comes after the city council voted to oppose H.R.1410, a bill that would block the tribe's proposed off-reservation casino.

The tribe wants to build the West Valley Resort on land near Glendale. The project remains tied up in litigation in federal court.
